Welcome to Heart of Hope Foundation (“HoHF”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our services, programs, website, communications, and participation in our activities. By using our services, donating, volunteering, interacting with our content, or otherwise engaging with us in any form, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About Us
Heart of Hope Foundation is a registered nonprofit organization in Tanzania (Registration No. 00NGO/R/7953), dedicated to transforming lives through community support activities in education and health, primarily focusing on pastoral communities while operating across the Tanzania mainland.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By:
accessing our website,
participating in programs,
donating,
volunteering,
subscribing to newsletters,
or otherwise engaging with HoHF,
you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not participate or use our services.
3. Our Programs and Services
HoHF implements programs and services including but not limited to:
Education support and awareness, including training, literacy initiatives, and school support.
Health awareness and services, including basic health education and community health engagement.
Volunteer programs and community empowerment activities.
Participation in specific programs may be subject to additional conditions, agreements, waivers, or permissions.
4. Eligibility
You represent and warrant that:
you are at least 18 years old (or have legal guardian consent if younger),
you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and
you will comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
5. Donations and Financial Contributions
5.1. Use of Donations
Donations and contributions are used in support of HoHF’s mission and activities, including program delivery, operations, and related administrative costs.
5.2. No Refund Guarantee
All donations are final and non-refundable, unless otherwise stated by HoHF in writing.
5.3. Tax and Legal Compliance
Tax deductions or financial benefits related to donations are subject to relevant Tanzanian laws and regulations. HoHF does not guarantee any tax benefit and is not responsible for your individual tax determination.
6. Volunteer Participation
6.1. Volunteer Agreement
Volunteers may be required to sign a separate volunteer agreement, code of conduct, confidentiality agreement, or safety waiver.
6.2. Safety and Conduct
Volunteers must comply with HoHF policies, safety guidelines, laws, and respect cultural contexts of communities served.
6.3. Liability
HoHF is not liable for personal injury, property loss/damage, or other harm unless caused by gross negligence.
7. Website and Online Engagement
7.1. Website Use
Use of HoHF’s website, digital platforms, or online services is subject to this Terms agreement and our Privacy Policy.
7.2. Content and Intellectual Property
All content, materials, logos, images, and text on our website are owned or licensed by HoHF. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use them without prior written permission from HoHF.
7.3. User-Provided Content
By submitting content (e.g., feedback, photos, stories), you grant HoHF a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, transmit, and display the content for organizational purposes.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Your personal information will be handled in accordance with HoHF’s Privacy Policy. You consent to the collection, use, and processing of personal data as described in that policy.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
9.1. General Disclaimer
All HoHF programs and services are offered on an “as is” basis. We make no warranties regarding program results, effectiveness, or suitability.
9.2. Limitation of Liability
HoHF’s liability for any claim arising under these Terms is limited to the amount you have personally paid (if any) to HoHF for the specific service giving rise to the claim. HoHF is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
10. Termination
HoHF reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, or terminate your access to programs, services, or the website, with or without notice, for violation of Terms or for operational reasons.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved through negotiation, mediation, or the courts of Tanzania.
12. Amendments
HoHF may change these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website or communicated to participants. Continued use of services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
